Jared Sherburne

Building Specialist

A sixth generation Idahoan, Jared is a second-generation Idaho developer/builder. The Sherburne family has always proudly placed their name on their superlative projects and communities. Jared's grandfather owned a respected floor-covering business in Twin Falls, and Jared's mother, Debbie, is a talented designer who introduced Jared to construction at a young age, remodeling every Sherburne family home. Jared's formal construction career began in 1991. Working in diverse facets of the trades, he was blessed to be hired by Mike Marrs of The Marrs Company in 1996. Mike and his team were valuable mentors for several years before Jared launched his custom home building company in 1998. Debbie was his exclusive designer, creating sought-after home designs with breathtaking finishes. An excellent communication and organizational system developed by Jared ensures the execution and completion of Sherburne-Marrs projects on budget and on time. He is fully involved in all concepts, designs and construction of each custom home through to completion. Jared's management skills allow him to handle multiple priorities and keep critical tasks at the forefront and serviced effectively. During his career, Jared has built over 165 top quality custom homes in many of the premier subdivisions in the Treasure Valley, including The Shores, Two Rivers, Lakemoor, Rivers End, Mace River Ranch, SpurWing Estates, Lakeside Retreats at Legacy, SpurWing Heights, and more. Jared has a beautiful, loving wife who spearheads the important responsibility of raising their two sons and three daughters. He loves spending his family time watching the couple's children sing, dance and play sports.

Office Manager

Desiree Hammond

Desiree is a native Boisean whose family ventured beyond the City of Trees when she was a little girl. During her time away from Idaho, she lived the big city life in Ft. Worth, Portland, Denver, and Salt Lake City. After 18 years, she returned to her beloved hometown in 2002 to raise her two young daughters. Sherburne-Marrs' office manager since 2014, Desiree is the company's inner cog, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Detail oriented and amiable, her responsibilities include building and tracking job budgets, creating and tracking change orders and work orders, delivering job documents to clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, and much more. She has 10 years previous experience in the title and escrow world, as well as several years in the restaurant business as a bookkeeper and office manager. Desiree loves soaking up the sun and being on the water, so on any given summer day, when she is not managing our office, you can find her and her husband on their boat at Lucky Peak Reservoir.

Rick Christensen

Project Manager

Rick is an Idaho native who has lived in the Treasure Valley his entire life. He entered the construction profession in 1998, working for a roofing contractor, transitioning to the framing trade, and eventually owning and operating his own remodeling and addition company for more than 10 years. A gifted carpenter and journeyman framer, Rick’s keen eye and attention to detail, which perfects every project, is gleaned from his experience in many facets of construction. Jared and Rick first started working together in 2006, under a general and subcontractor relationship.  After several years of persuasion, in 2015 Jared proudly brought Rick on board full-time with Sherburne-Marrs.  As Project Manager & Customer Service Specialist, Rick’s responsibilities include project management, subcontractor coordination, quality control and certification, and running the jobs from the start of construction through the delivery to our clients. Rick, his wife, and their three sons love camping, riding dirt bikes and UTVs, hunting, and playing softball.

Cody Stoeger

Project and Customer Service Specialist

Cody is a 3rd generation Native Idahoan and is proud to a part of its growth. Cody graduated from Boise State University in 2010 with a bachelors in communication and focused his advanced studies on interpersonal communication and conflict management. After a 4 year stent in the oilfield, Cody entered the construction industry in early 2017 as Sales and Operations Manager for a Local Builder in Meridian, ID where he handled sales, client relations, as well as job-site management and warranty coordination. Cody started with Sherburne-Marrs in June of 2021. As Project and Customer Service Specialist, his responsibilities include Job-site and subcontractor management, quality control and customer service coordination. Like the rest of the team, Cody has a “lead from the front” mentality and is not afraid to get his hands dirty. He is humbled and honored to be a part of such a talented team and continues to grow into his role at Sherburne-Marrs.

 

Cody’s most important role is that of husband and father. He married Caitlin in 2010 and they have 4 amazing children together. On the weekends, Cody and his family can be found outdoors soaking in the sun and enjoying every season that Idaho has to offer.

Lane Ranstrom

Community Marketing & Sales Manager

Lane Ranstrom was born and raised in Eagle, and joined the Sherburne-Marrs team in 2016. As a native of the Treasure Valley, he has witnessed a tremendous amount of growth and is enthusiastic about the future of the area. A graduate of Boise State University, Lane owned several small businesses in the Treasure Valley and is proud to have contributed to its growth. Armed with in-depth, first-hand knowledge of current local and national real estate trends, Lane is passionate about utilizing his expertise with Sherburne-Marrs' valued clients to assist them in solid, educated decisions that will benefit their financial future. Lifelong dedication to client satisfaction, a commitment to excellence, and market expertise make him a natural fit for the Sherburne-Marrs team.
